We enjoyed sharing our Tuscan vacation so much that we were keen to try another trip with that group. Four of the six of those folk were available in Spring of 2024, so we got to planning. Unfortunately, we had a deposit on file with Emerald from our cancelled Douro River cruise that had to be used by December 2024, so that was going to be the trip for Gary and I. The other four were interested in a river cruise too, so we narrowed our selections to Southern France or Eastern Europe.
After a meeting at Luanne and Dan’s, the decision was made to try the Danube River from Bucharest Romania to Budapest Hungary. Dean had been in discussions with Sharee from Vacations to Go in Texas, so we got on the phone with her and got booking. Of course our existing deposit caused a kink in the works, so while the other two couples were able to complete their booking on June 25, ours is still pending!
