I booked our airfare with Air Canada on August 14 and we are on the same flights as Sharon and Dean. If the flights go as planned, which is never a certainty these days, we will have 5 hours to kill in Munich. Dean and I are hoping it can work out that we dump our luggage (carryon only of course) at the airport and get into the city for an hour or two! We shall see…
Then we are flying home from Zurich. Switzerland has been on our radar since we watched a Rick Steves program on Switzerland. It looks so beautiful!

Dean found an AirBnB which all three couples can share for the extra nights in Bucharest. The host will pick us up from the airport and we have booked her for a tour to the Transylvania castles!

At the end of the cruise, we are going to take advantage of the Emerald transfer service and get them to take us to the Budapest airport. From there we plan to fly to Zurich Switzerland and take the train to Interlaken. I have booked what looks like a really cute AirBnB in Unterseen, which is a small town, and more charming apparently, across the Aare River from Interlaken.
Sharon and Dean are staying in Luzern, but I want to be closer to the activities available in Berner Oberland – not BASE jumping (never in my life), but for sure some cog wheel train and gondola rides!
Luanne and Dan are staying a couple of days in Budapest and then flying to Zurich. They plan to stay in Murren, but I’m hoping all six of us can get together at some point for an adventure.
At the end of our vacation, Luanne and I booked accommodation in Luzern for a couple of nights, with plans to take the train to Zurich so we can fly home.
I do love planning a trip, but am losing confidence that I am getting all my timings correct! Fingers crossed for accuracy!🤞
