Emerald Luna and Our Cabin

The Emerald Luna was built in 2021 in Holland. It is 443 feet long, 36 feet wide and currently has 164 passengers and 50 crew members.

I asked the Hotel Manager whether we were on a ship or a boat and the answer is both. Apparently you can put a boat on a ship, but you can’t put a ship on a boat! It also has to do with the horsepower of the engines, so our vessel is definitely a ship.

Our cabin 308 was very nice. There was lots of storage in which to tuck (and subsequently lose) all my bits and pieces. When the ship was in port, we enjoyed sitting with the balcony window open and when in motion, it was nice to have the extra space.

Because our cabin was a Grand Balcony Suite, snacks were delivered throughout the day, and we had access to two items of laundry for every day of the cruise. It was a usual experience to end a week of vacation with a bunch of clean clothes.

We were surprised by towel animals a couple of days.
